Bert Shapiro has studied and worked in the art and design field for most of his life. He started as an art major in High School and continued his art education receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University. This education prepared him for career in design and as an executive in charge of creative projects world wide.
His extensive travel and art education led him to his love of watercolor painting. He continued his art studies locally and at workshops in Maine. His current paintings are a result of this work
He has won a number of awards and his paintings are in many private collections throughout the country.
He is a member of the Sothern Vermont Arts Association, The Vermont Watercolor Society and is juried member of Essex Watercolor Club in New Jersey.
He maintains a studio in Bondville, Vermont that is opened by appointment. He is also represented at the Artists Guild of Manchester in Manchester Vermont.
